Basketball Highlights - January 23rd-27th
Sheldon Panthers took the big win against the Bronaugh Wildcats on Tuesday night! Both teams fought hard but Sheldon showed that they wanted it more. The Lady Panthers won 37-24 and the Panthers won 67-62. The Panthers had a great time playing against the Wildcats and they really showed them who’s boss.

Sheldon Panthers beat the Miami Eagles with a 10 point lead. The first quarter the Panthers scored 6 points, 2nd quarter 17 points were scored, 3rd quarter 11 points scored, and for the 4th quarter 16 points were scored. The leading scorers were William and Riley Chapman with 14 points each also with Aiden Ellifrits scoring in double digits with 10 points. Congratulations to the Sheldon Panthers!

The Sheldon Lady Panthers won again this week against Mami Lady Eagles with a ten point lead! The game started out slow and the Sheldon Lady Panthers struggled with turnovers, which resulted in both teams tying at halftime with a score of 9 points. The Sheldon Lady Panthers main scorers were Mariam Lamb with 10 points, Deborah Lamb with 7, and Kim Colbert with 7. The Lady Panthers came out at half time and came together as a team and fought for the win. The ending score of this game was Sheldon Lady Panthers 30 and Mami Lady Eagles 20.

The Lady Panthers took the win over Chilhowee with a 16 point lead. By the end of the first quarter it was 12-15, by the end of the second quarter it was 27-31, by the end of the third quarter The Lady Panthers took the lead with 41-38. They went out and took the win in the last quarter 58-42. Kim Colbert had the most points at 24 points. Mariam Lamb had second most points with 21 points. This was a big win for The Lady Panthers and a good confidence booster heading down the final stretch of the season.

The Sheldon Panthers won against the Chilhowee Indians with a 22 point lead. They scored 20 points in the first quarter, 7 in the second, 17 in the third, and 19 in the fourth quarter. The boys scored multiple 3 pointers with very few fouls. They played hard and came out with a win even though one of their starters was hurt. The highest scorer of this game was Riley Chapman with 25 total points scored.
