Virtual Education
In accordance with state law, the Sheldon R-VIII School District provides the option to enroll in approved virtual courses. The district may offer virtual courses to students through district staff or by contracting for those services as part of the district-sponsored curriculum. In addition, eligible students may enroll in virtual courses offered through the Missouri Course Access Program (MOCAP). The district will accept all grades and credits earned through district-sponsored virtual instruction (Edgenuity) and MOCAP. Enrollment for Virtual courses in the Sheldon R-VIII School District is 10 days prior to the start of the semester to 5 days after the start of the semester. The District will approve or deny acceptance into the program within 10 school days of the date the application was submitted to the District. Students and families that are interested in virtual coursework should contact our school counselor or principal. For further information, see Board Policy 6190.
